Celebrate

NATIONAL CRAFT MONTH

(And have your viewers in stitches!)

WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU CROSS “MARTHA STEWART” with “IRON CHEF” and “GLADIATOR”?

Details:

A new age of Crafting is emerging.  The traditional, tactile arts are making a comeback among men and women alike, an emerging creative phenomenon that may be part of what some are calling the “new domesticity,” a re-kindled appreciation for the home-made.  In recognition of the crafting revolution, the entire month of March has been dedicated to celebrating all that crafting has to offer.  During this time, craft retailers across the country will offer special classes, demonstrations, tips and projects to get customers involved.  (Some stores will have a new craft theme each week of the month that highlights a different crafting category).

You can join Jason Jones (“Ringmaster” of the new Iron Chef-meets-Gladiator series, “CRAFT CORNER DEATHMATCH”) with examples some from the new “mayhem over macramé” show:

                        SCRAPBOOKING….SHOE MAKING….CANDY BROOCH MAKING……MEN WHO KNIT…..

Despite the comedy of the competition, each episode is woven with genuine crafting tips and the competitors’ projects are critiqued by a panel of expert judges.  (The 13 part Ultimate Craft series premieres on Style Network on March 9, 2005 and is from the Producers of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”).

JASON JONES - a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School, Jason was nominated for “Best Writing” by the Canadian Comedy Awards 2001.     His many credits include a recurring role on Showtime’s “Queer As Folk” and a principle role on Fox’s “American Prince:  The JFK Jr. Story.”
