NEW PEPSI SPOT DIRECTED BY SPIKE LEE
JOINED THE SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL ROSTER!

Created by Spike DDB, this Pepsi ad entitled “Diner” is believed to be the first Super Bowl spot ever created by an African-American advertising agency.

"Diner" was one of three Pepsi commercials that premiered along with two Sierra Mist commercials, and a spot for the Pepsi iTunes promotion, which kicked off on Super Sunday.

DETAILS: Pepsi-Cola North America returned to the Super Bowl lineup for the 19th straight year with commercials for Pepsi, and Sierra Mist during three-and-a-half minutes of in-game advertising time.

Here's a sneak peek of what viewers saw on CBS-TV's Super Sunday telecast February 1:
* "Diner," a heartsick man (played by Kel Mitchell, star of the sitcom "Keenan and Kel Show") has his faith in love restored by a sassy waitress and a Pepsi. Mo'Nique, stand-up comedian and star of UPN's "The Parkers," delivers a memorable performance as the waitress.
* Pepsi iTunes Promotion - "I Fought The Law": Features real-life teenagers who were sued by the recording industry and are now demonstrating how Pepsi and Apple's iTunes Music Store--the world's number one digital music service--will help them freely and legally download music. Set to Green Day's version of "I Fought the Law," the teens demonstrate a legal and free way to download music through the Pepsi iTunes promotion. Apple&Pepsi will launch a historic promotion to legally give away 100 million free songs to Mac & Windows PC users.
* Pepsi - "Crossroads": A young Jimi Hendrix seeks liquid refreshment and must choose between a Pepsi and Coke machine. After buying a Pepsi and taking a drink, Hendrix has a revelation and a music legend is born.
* Sierra Mist - "Bagpipes": A bagpiper performing in extremely hot temperatures finds a unique way to achieve a "shockingly refreshing" cool down.
* Sierra Mist - "Fire Escape": A guy and his dog, now in their third Sierra Mist commercial together, take a plunge from a fire escape to get refreshment during an extremely hot day.
