n Popular weekend getaway activities include visiting historic sites and museums (74%); camping, fishing, or hunting (53%); staying at bed & breakfasts (42%), and gambling (36%).

n Americans prefer to drive SUV's, mini-vans, and mid-size sedans for weekend getaways,

n Average weekend getaway totals 210 miles on the odometer and $280 on the pocketbook..
